Goodyear Medicare Retirees

The $50 monthly Medicare Part B Reimbursement Benefit that Goodyear had been providing will no longer be paid by Goodyear. Instead, now that the Goodyear VEBA has assumed responsibility for the Retiree Medical Plan, the VEBA will begin to provide this benefit to you.

A check will be issued directly to you on a quarterly basis. Your first quarterly check will be issued in April 2009 and will include the amounts due to you for January through March.

Also the employee that is out of work and is receiving Accident & Sickness (A&S) benefits or State Workers Compensation should make sure they keep their doctor coverage up to date. If your doctor does not cover you, you will not receive a benefit..

Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company does not have life insurance on your spouse or children. Your spouse or children are only covered if you are enrolled in the optional insurance (Minnesota Life) and you have designated the amount of coverage you want on your spouse and children. Your children can only have life insurance till age 19.
